Sherwood Ridge Public School, a Public, Private Partnership school, is set in spacious grounds in the heart of Kellyville. Taking its first students in 2004, the school has rapidly grown to develop a vibrant culture which incorporates our core values of Learning, Respect and Community.
With a strong focus on nurturing the whole child and fostering relationships within the school community, we strive for excellence through innovative pedagogy centred on high quality evidence based educational practices. Teaching teams adopt a collegial approach to programming dedicated to providing differentiated, student-centred teaching and learning opportunities for all students. With a strong foundation in visible learning our students know where they are at with their learning and their next steps.
As a school we engage in Spirals of Inquiry and Instructional Rounds which facilitate teacher professional development and support student and teacher growth. Sherwood Ridge offers a wide variety of extra-curricular activities for our students to shine, providing opportunities in the areas of PDHPE, Public Speaking and the Creative Arts.
The school has an active Parents and Citizens Association that provides not only financial support and the organisation of community events but also offers feedback and suggestions on future directions for the school. Through a relentless focus on learning and student wellbeing, as a community we create an environment from which each can achieve their best.
